A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Built with curiosity.
Led with judgment.

I’m Matt—a product leader with an engineering foundation and a habit of getting close to the work.

Over 10 years in product and 20+ years across technology, I’ve connected customer discovery with architecture, implementation, and delivery. I like making complex systems understandable—and making sure they work for the people who depend on them.

Today, I’m Co-Founder & Head of Product at GetLatest, building Snappy. Before that, I led technical product work at Stack Overflow and learner experiences at Pluralsight. Home is South Weber, Utah; the outdoors is where I recharge.

GETLATEST · JUL 2025–PRESENT

Beyond the conversation.

Taking Snappy from concept to a production AI-agent service.

The product problem

A useful conversation is only the beginning. An agent service also needs a usable path through onboarding, permissions, billing, and ongoing operation.

My role

As Co-Founder & Head of Product, I lead product strategy and systems architecture while remaining hands-on in implementation and operations: the customer portal, provisioning, runtime integration, and release automation.

A decision that matters

Make control and recovery part of the product. Snappy combines persistent memory and dedicated customer infrastructure with approval-gated workflows. Releases go to a canary first, pass health checks, and expand in stages.

What shipped

A production, multi-tenant AI-agent service with self-service onboarding, subscription billing, automated backups, and repeatable fleet operations.

STACK OVERFLOW · JUL 2023–APR 2025

A stronger foundation.

Modernizing Stack Overflow for Teams Enterprise.

The challenge

Move Teams Enterprise from traditional data centers and per-customer virtual servers to Azure and Kubernetes, while improving the way customer environments were updated.

My role

I led cross-functional delivery with nine software engineers and SREs, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and executive leadership on roadmaps and investment priorities.

The result

The migration was delivered on time and within budget. Containerized deployment replaced one-at-a-time VM updates, reducing infrastructure cost and release effort while improving update speed and consistency.

Connecting AI with private knowledge

I also shipped AI Answers embedded in Stack Overflow content and a Slack integration grounded in each customer’s private Stack Overflow knowledge base.

PLURALSIGHT · SEP 2015–JUN 2023

A clearer next step.

Building Learning Paths and the learner experience.

My scope

I owned product strategy and end-to-end experience for Learning Paths, the customer homepage and dashboard, and the Author experience on a platform serving 1.5M+ learners worldwide.

How I worked

Hundreds of customer interviews and discovery sessions informed roadmaps and product decisions. I combined that qualitative evidence with quantitative signals and worked with cross-functional squads, typically five engineers and one designer, from discovery through launch and iteration.

The result

Learning Paths became the most-used area of the Pluralsight platform and increased engagement and retention. At times, our teams delivered customer improvements daily.

Growing the team

I mentored product managers and interns in discovery, planning, stakeholder communication, and delivery.
